Yay, it's Friday! Any fun weekend plans for you? I'm attending a clothing swap and I can hardly wait. I've already started to sort through my closet to find some goods. Eeeekkkk, here's to hoping I find some little gems as well. Happy weekend everyone!

weekend | Posted on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 01:26PM Happy Friday! Well last night marked the end of my three-day blueprint cleanse and I must say, it was a breeze. I honestly did not feel hungry (my biggest concern going into it). All in all I think what I got out of it is what I can best describe as a restart...a restart to healthy eating. Not that I was eating horribly right before, but I did indulge in lots and lots of food while on vacation and I felt like it was time to get back to some healthy eating habits. This weekend I will be searching for some yummy and healthy recipes. I will also continue my holiday decorating. Yeah yeah, I know I'm a little late to the game this year, but I'm excited to continue my crafting. I started with a little diy ornament painting project yesterday that I'm loving. It's looking like a very minty holiday season around here.
Oh Chicago, how do I even begin to say how much we adored our trip there. It was cold, yes very cold, but that didn't damper our spirits one bit. We walked the city and enjoyed every moment of it. I loved seeing the bean and visiting the Art Institute. Both incredible! We popped into bhldn and I kind of wanted to move right in. Such a pretty store filled with the most gorgeous dresses. And one of the highlights was walking down to Navy Pier. A spot where my now 97 year old grandpa met my grandma in 1944. WOW! We also spent two days in St. Joseph, Michigan. Such a cute little town and we met the nicest people. Oh gosh, and I almost forgot to talk about RPM in Chicago! Ummmm I'm like a huge fan of Giuliana Rancic. I think she is absolutely the cutest, so I knew we just had to go to her and her husband's restaurant. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing! I mean, we went there at 10pm on a Tuesday night (10pm is my normal bedtime, so I couldn't even believe we were going to dinner at that time) and the place was p a c k e d! Like crazy packed. It was definitely worth the late night trip...yum! Check out a few pics from our trip. I seriously can't wait for a return visit to the midwest.
We had a great weekend, including an impropmtu dinner with friends (aren't last minute plans always the best), the beginning of some holiday decorating (more on that later), and a little ummmm shopping by me. You know I said in my last post I was obsessed with this Anthropologie skirt, so of course I had to swing by the store really quickly to just take a browse. I ended up picking up this amazing statement necklace that I already wore out (to that impromptu dinner on Saturday night). It's so sparkly and fun, definitely something I will be sporting to a lot of holiday parties.

Opppps, Monday kind of snuck by in a hurry...but I'm here. We had the most incredible weekend, including a surprise birthday party, a night out dancing (what? I haven't done that in who knows how long), and ended it off at the most amazing dinner party. Jacin and her husband were the perfect hosts for a gorgeous garden dinner party. The food was so so so delicious, and the decor...well it was just perfect. I mean, are you kidding me with those golden pineapples, they were the cutest things ever (we even took one home & it's loving it's new spot next to our ghost chair...ha)! All of us at the party literally could not stop snapping photos of that gorgeous table. And of course, the friends who we spent all night laughing with were what made it the most special evening (all of these girls plus their significant others, Crystal, Taylor, Amanda, Edyta, Natalie, Jacin). Thanks girls and guys for a wonderful night!
