a bold statement.

We had a great weekend, including an impropmtu dinner with friends (aren't last minute plans always the best), the beginning of some holiday decorating (more on that later), and a little ummmm shopping by me.  You know I said in my last post I was obsessed with this Anthropologie skirt, so of course I had to swing by the store really quickly to just take a browse.  I ended up picking up this amazing statement necklace that I already wore out (to that impromptu dinner on Saturday night).  It's so sparkly and fun, definitely something I will be sporting to a lot of holiday parties.

lovin' pamela love.

Ummmm, did I just stumble upon the bracelets that I've been obsessing about forever?!?  I mean, they aren't an exact match, but pretty dang close.  Also loving that delicate cuff.  Wow, I pretty much adore every piece in Pamela Love's collection.

natural beauty.

This ring, ummmmmm yes yes yes.  I know I've already discussed my obsession with jewelry made of natural stones, but I spotted this little ring and just had to share it's beauty with all of you.  So cool, right?

statement necklace.

When it comes down to jewelry, I'm usually quick to reach for a pile of bracelets to put on my wrists, but recently I've been really into statement necklaces.  I really love how they can turn a simple outfit into something with more interest and style.  Ummm and hello, at $7.80, I think every girl should snatch this up in a hurry.

feathery diy.

I wasn't kidding when I said that I love feathers.  I spotted Rachel Bilson on this magazine cover over a year ago and I was obsessed.  When I first saw it I thought that was a chunky chain necklace with feathers attached, but now when giving it a fresh glance I think those feathers are actually a part of her dress.  Well, whatever the case, I loved the look and was determined to make it mine.  I searched high and low for something similar and when I came up with nothing, I decided that I could make something just as unique.  I swear that this was the easiest DIY project ever.  I purchased a necklace at Loehmann's for $15, bought some ostrich feathers, and used a hot glue gun to attach them to the back of the necklace.  Done and done.  In total, the project probably took me about 5 minutes to complete and yet I feel like I achieved just the look I was aiming for.
